Sebastián Rea is an Ecuadorian-American writer and director from New York City. He is currently a Story Editor on the UCP project Vigilante, and was the staff writer on the Peacock/UCP drama Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy. His original pilot Heritage, which helped him secure his spot in the NBCU Launch program, was previously developed in the Outfest Screenwriting Lab and recognized by Netflix’s Indigenous Inclusion Grant in partnership with LALIFF. Born in Ecuador and raised in Queens, Sebastián blends his Quichua heritage and NYC street smarts, to offer an intersectional lens as a queer, Indigenous, Latino immigrant.
